100 years ago Andrew Carnegie was the world’s richest man, and the first modern philanthropist. He invented and perfected the idea of first getting rich (by any means) then giving the fortune away through a private foundation. This idea is still pervasive today, from Bill Gates down to the middle class. It’s an idea of “two pockets”, one for the money that makes money and a second for the money to be given away. This webinar will show the connection between profits and charity, showing these are in reality two corners of a continuum, with many options in between, all which fall into what is now called “impact investing”.
