A new patented hydrogen storage system, or battery, allows renewable energy to be delivered more reliably and reduce costs by 22%; this is the focus of Enass Abo-Hamed’s work. For developing nations, this will mean less reliance on fossil fuels, saving thousands of tonnes of C02 emissions, whilst supporting economic growth with more sustainable light and heat for business and education.
Enass spoke in the Environment Plenary Session which addressed the question, ‘ Can technology save the planet?’
This session took place at the 2016 One Young World Summit, the world’s premier forum for young leaders, in Ottawa, Canada. The Summit brought together 1,300 delegates from all 196 UN-recognised countries, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change.
